High Potential Gifted Class
Are you a highly motivated student who can demonstrate outstanding results across key learning areas, and demonstrate strong commitment to personal growth across all aspects of school life? You should apply for our High Potential Gifted Class in 2024 (Year 7 2024 students only).
This class is geared to students identified as high potential, gifted learners, who can demonstrate, across multiple criteria, high standards and levels of achievement through academic performance.
How are applications assessed?
Applications will be assessed and selection based on:
- Results in a placement test (date in Term 4 TBC)
- Year 5 NAPLAN results
- Student portfolio which showcases student achievement (limited to 10 pages)
- 2 most recent school reports
Applications will be assessed by the panel with a focus on proven academic performance and success across other aspects of school life, including, for example, student leadership and the HPGE creative domain.

Students are strongly encouraged to apply for one or both High Potential Gifted and Self Select classes for 2024!
Applications for our High Potential Class are open only to those students enrolled at The Hills Sports High School in Year 7 2024.
